La scorsa settimana il governo inglese ha pubblicato il “White Paper on Football Governance”, documento programmatico che illustra la futura riforma della football industry britannica. Tra le novità principali, la costituzione di un organismo pubblico, l’ “Independent Football Regulator”, con funzioni di produzione normativa e controllo, e l’introduzione per legge di un sistema di licenze che impone ai club di rispettare specifiche regole finanziarie e organizzative, tra cui il coinvolgimento dei tifosi nelle decisioni con impatto sulla tradizione del club.

Last week the English government published the “White Paper on Football Governance”, a programmatic document that illustrates the future reform of the British football industry. Among the main innovations, the establishment of a statutory body, the “Independent Football Regulator”, with regulatory and monitoring functions, and the introduction by law of a licensing system which requires clubs to comply with specific financial and organizational rules, including involving supporters in decisions that impact the club’s heritage.
